Ortho Evra Birth Control: Dangerous Secondary Effects, Be Careful!

A customer fraud class action court case is investigating against Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc., the producer of a birth control patch called Ortho Evra. The examination is being made because the company above mentioned, did not reveal the risks of this method of birth control. The effects of this contraceptive method are blood clots, stroke and in some cases heart attacks. The past July 17, the FDA and the Associated Press found 23 similar fatalities linked to the patch, however the exact causes of the death are not clear.

An example of this is the case of a 25 year old girl who suffered a stroke and then was interned in an Intensive Care Unit. Her family was not capable to talk to her or contact her because the least amount of stimuli could produce a lethal level of pressure on her brain; she died from the use of the patch. There is also another woman of 18 years of age who collapsed and died in New York. There are still more examples that link the use of the patch with these deaths.

Some statistics demonstrate that women that use the patch that Ortho-McNeil manufactures are more exposed (300% more possibilities) to suffer a blood clot than women that use similar contraceptive in the pill form. If you or some other girl you know is using these patches and have had some problems due to it, contact your attorney and ask for the possibilities of make a claim.
