Light Cigarettes: Are They Really Safe?

Do you smoke? Are you sure that light cigarettes are safer than regular cigarettes? The National Cancer Institute (NCI) says that the minor tar and nicotine quantities advertised by the light cigarette companies are false. A study demonstrates that the light cigarettes trick the smoking machines and that is why they show a low record of tar and nicotine levels in these cigarettes. The study also showed that light cigarettes do not provide "benefits" compared to the regular cigarettes.

The NCI said that a big aspect in light cigarettes low tar and nicotine quantities are minuscule vent holes built into the filter of the cigarette. On the machines, these vents are passable, while in the smoker is obstructed, making the cigarette a "regular" when the person smokes it. Some people (consumer specifically) say that the cigarette manufacturers make promotions for these cigarettes saying that they are more healthily than a regular cigarette. But it is not true, as you know all the cigarettes produce devastating and sometimes secondary effects.

Some of the effects of the cigarettes are lung cancer, emphysema, cardiac illness and if a woman is pregnant it damages the fetus. Also, if you smoke close to other people that do not, you damage them too. If you or someone that you know is suffering some of these illnesses or has died, you can ask your lawyer about the possibilities to make a claim against the company that produces cigarettes.
