Auto Lease Transfer Fraud could be cause for class action lawsuit

Reports continue to come in regarding lease trading companies advertising they can transfer auto leases from one person to another. They collect fees for listing the vehicle and for handling the paper work from the current lease holder, they also collect fees from the prospective new lease holder for the paper work, only to find out the lease cannot be transferred.  Car manufacturers often have policies forbidding the transfer of a lease.  This appears to be a fraudulent business practice.

At this time, we know of no lawsuits having been filed against any lease trading companies.

If these traders are engaging in fraudulent business practices, the lease traders could be subject to a class action lawsuit brought against them by lease holders who have sustained monetary damages a result of this problem.
